U.C.S.A: United Christian Student Association
2 Tim 3:15 “……..jy ken van kleins af die heilige Skrif. Dit kan jou die kennis bybring wat tot verlossing lei deur die geloof in Jesus Christus.”
Our school integrates with the SCA organisation, which functions countrywide in primary and high schools as well as in tertiary institutions. We organise a weekly programme for the pupils during which they become acquainted with practical Christianity through music, drama, messages, creative games and practical service. The programme is bilingual (English and Afrikaans). Camps are arranged during the year in conjunction with the UCSA organisation.

WHITIES GOT TALENT
This cultural opportunity is based on the popular American TV series. Afrikaans and English learners may participate. Grade 1-7 may enter and there are various categories: singing, dancing, acting, musical instruments and art. This is not an annual event.
REVUE / CONCERT
White River Primary hosts its own Revue every 3rd year. The Gr 1 – 7 learners participate and each grade portray a theme in a combined production.
REACH FOR THE STARS
The top achievers from the annual Eisteddfod have the opportunity to showcase their talents at this event.
FATHER & DAUGHTER BALL
This annual, glamorous event is the highlight of many White River Primary girls. It is a red carpet occasion where the dads and their daughters can enjoy each other’s company in a grand way!
EISTEDDFOD CHIOR AND DANCE GROUP
CHIOR: JUNIOR & SENIOR
JUNIOR DANCE GROUP & EISTEDDFOD
White River Primary school annually hosts a public speaking competition. It consists of two sections:
Juniors (Grade 1 – 3) and Seniors (Grade 4 – 7).
The winners of the Afrikaans section participate in the ATKV-Speech Competition. The same rules, which apply to the ATKV competition, apply to our English competition. A very high standard is maintained and our learners achieve well. Each learner receives a certificate of participation and an overall grade winner is announced. This competition is a wonderful opportunity to prepare the learners to speak in front of a group of people with self confidence.
The grade 4-7 learners also participate in inter-school speech competitions and we organise our own bilingual speech competition for our learners.
Congratulations to the students who won at the National finale of the Radical Public Speaking 2020.
Congratulations to Mignon Swart that received 3rd place in the Oppie-Tong-Af finale 2020.
We are proud of all of you!
