CULTURE
U.C.S.A: United Christian Student Association
2 Tim 3:15 “From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus”
Our school integrates with the SCA organisation, which functions countrywide in primary and high schools as well as in tertiary institutions. We organise a weekly programme for the pupils during which they become acquainted with practical Christianity through music, drama, messages, creative games and practical service. The programme is bilingual (English and Afrikaans). Camps are arranged during the year in conjunction with the UCSA organisation.

PUBLIC SPEAKING
White River Primary school annually hosts a public speaking competition. It consists of two sections:
Juniors (Grade 1 – 3) and Seniors (Grade 4 – 7).
The winners of the Afrikaans section participate in the ATKV-Speech Competition. The same rules, which apply to the ATKV competition, apply to our English competition. A very high standard is maintained and our learners achieve well. Each learner receives a certificate of participation and an overall grade winner is announced. This competition is a wonderful opportunity to prepare the learners to speak in front of a group of people with self confidence.
The grade 4-7 learners also participate in inter-school speech competitions and we organise our own bilingual speech competition for our learners.
